Brown belt Current belt
August 22, 2026Indianapolis, Indiana, USA/Skill Sharpening Seminar and Belting Ceremony for the Accusation
Promoted byMarcello C. MonteiroA little over 2 years ago I moved from NJ to PA. My old belts came from Bo Walaszek, a Jamie Cruz Black Belt. I now train at Octane MMA in Monongahela, PA. The head instructor is Travis Kalbaugh a Black Blet under Marcello C. Monteiro and they are members of his organization. Over the weekend Marcello promoted me based on the recommendation of my coaches.

Promoted byBohdan (Bo) Walaszek (up to p2). Travis Kalbaugh (p3)I got promoted purple at a no Gi class. We had been working on chokes and D’Arce entries. Bo had me go into a tight turtle then choked me with my new belt. You can tell in the one pic how happy and surprised I was.
