Made his debut in traditional Jiu-Jitsu in 1994 and then became passionate about Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu from 1996. He won his first traditional black belt in 2001 under Jacques Gaulin in Quebec city. From that moment he focused on Brazilian jiu-jitsu to achieve the ultimate goal, his black belt in Brazilian jiu-jitsu acquired in 2015, under BTT Canada. Was a coach and training partner for MMA fighters. He continues to share his experience and his passion. Also head coach for Evo gym in Rouyn-Noranda.

Stephan was my first instructor in 2009 and after 7 years I am back under his coaching. He is a great black belt as legit as it gets. He's one of those black belts where it doesn't matter how hard I try he will always kick my ass. He's got that "old man strength" :p. He also gave me my first strip as a purple belt.
