Seeing my former instructors Professors Lucas Valente and Andressa Cintra at Professor Romulo Barral’s gym in Northridge, CA in 2024
First time I trained “proper” Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, a Royce Gracie seminar in 2005. Before that I took a few “pasukuang labanan” (submission fighting in Tagalog) classes in the Philippines in 1999.

"Excellent evidence and lineage (BB from Draculino dec 2021)."
"Jeff Liwag's Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu belt progression is supported by external sources, including his personal Medium article detailing his December 2021 black belt promotion under Vinicius “Draculino” Magalhães, a legitimate sixth-degree black belt and multiple-time champion. Training times exceed IBJJF minimums. I love when a confirmation goes like this - it was fun to look at all the pictures. Legit!"
"I know Jeff "
"Well documented profile with a lot of pictures. Jeff is legit! This confirmation gets you within striking distance of your verification."
"Photo evidence "
"Undeniable photo evidence and proper time served for 1st degree. "
"I don't know Jeff, but there seems to be enough evidence to verify rank. :)"
"Well documented!"
"Lots of photos. Totally jealous of your pic with Anthony B!"
