I am a BJJ hobbyist and don't compete with anyone but yesterday's version of me. BJJ has helped me tremendously with many things, including a previous law enforcement career, dealing with the aftermath of my service in the Army Infantry, and getting out of my shell. I train with Scott Devine at his home school in Brunswick, where we enjoy a constant flow of visitors of all experience levels and a stable of solid black belts who contribute willingly to the Ohana. The roll is the reward.
