"Legit for sure. Paulie is a smooth operator on the mat. We've been training partners for several years, probably ten at least. He's a beast. We tested and were promoted to Black Belt together. "
"Verified. Doing some homework externally to these many photos here on beltchecker, evidence validating Paul Colon's BJJ black belt rank includes a 2018 Avi Nardia Academy PDF listing him as a black belt under Professor John Machado, alongside a 2025 Budo International magazine referring to him as "Professor Paul Colon" while training with Machado. Additionally, Avi Nardia's Facebook post recalls Colon's early training under him and Machado, addressing him as "Professor." Promotion timings align with IBJJF minimums, and no disputes were found."
