Promoted to 4th Degree Black Belt on 1/15/25 by the World Famous Dirty Dozen 6th Degree Black Belt Chris Haueter! Thank you, Chris!
Yes, that's a 20-yr old Krugan's gi :)
So many great people here.
2011 Black Belt Promotion with some old friends. The red tape on my knee was me begging Haueter to leave that knee alone, since my LCL was torn.
2011 Black Belt promotion; sharing the biggest accomplishment of my life with my brother and coach!
Best Coach in the WORLD.
Some of the South Bay Black Belt Team, likely around 2012ish.

"Promotion history, with BB jan 2011, confirmed through verification by promoting instructor Chris Haueter, who is (of course) also verified by me."
EEThank you, Johan! I appreciate the verification; I see you have very high standards for this site! -and I love your Krugans Gi's!

JThanks! I fell in love with the Krugans gi from the first time I saw my instructors wear it in 1996. Especially with the over-the-top sponsor-patched-up-ness of the time, it was a whole new world compared with the strict karate uniforms I was used to. Started out when I wasn't that much bigger than your son looks now and my father was in his 40:s. I hope you too get to experience decades of training together!

"I support validating Emery Eccles' belt claims based on external evidence. Combat Base website confirms his 3rd-degree black belt in January 2020 under Chris Haueter, with black belt since 2011 and training from the late 1990s. A 2021 Facebook post by Haueter highlights Eccles as his 15th black belt. Times served are consistent with IBJJF minimums. Well-known promoter Chris Haueter, validates his promotions and holds more than sufficient rank. Legit!"
"Super cool that you went white to 4th black under Chris. Congrats on the stripe! "
EEThank you for the verification, Cole! And yes, I am incredible lucky to have spent my entire Journey with Chris. He's truly the legend you hear about. Thanks again.
