In the Fall of 2022 I was sent to the Texas border with the New Hampshire Army National Guard to assist Customs and Border Patrol. Upon arriving in Brownsville TX in November 2022, I and a few other soldiers began studying Brazilian Jiu Jitsu at the local Gracie Barra (now that location is known as The Waves Jiu Jitsu Academy) learning from Professor Tyler Bosard as well as Professor Juan and Professor Israel. I trained there until October 2023. In November 2023 I returned home to New Hampshire and began training at Resiliency Jiu Jitsu Academy under Professor Adam Laclair. I earned my blue belt under him in May 2025 and have learned much. I've also been fortunate enough to attend a few seminars taught by his teacher, Grand Master Joe Moreira.
