At that time I had only access to a small local MMA gym and their grappling style was horrible. I don't even know why I fall in love with grappling instead of stricking. It was only NoGi grappling until I travel for the first time to a major city near me just to train in 2011 at BJJ Quebec a BTT Canada Affiliated run by a BJJ BlackBelt. It was my first time training with the GI and it was a game changer for me. The rest is history.
