Born in Italy and raised in Switzerland Riccardo started Judo at the age of 5. At 14 he was introduced to sambo and at 17 he became Swiss champion. One year later he began fighting and competing MMA. He has had the opportunity to train with Igor Yakimov, Oleg Taktarov and David Rudman. At the age of 20, Riccardo, moved to Russia where he trained at the University of Moscow. During his time there he was introduced to the combat-sambo world team where he was able to train with multiple time pride champion Fedor Emelianenko. while in Moscow he won 2nd place at the Moscow combat sambo championships and was ranked 4th at the combat sambo world championships. Riccardo then moved to Canada, 4 years later, and started to train Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu at Toronto BJJ where he won the 2010 abu dhabi trials in Montreal as a blue belt and was able to meet and learn from Saulo Ribeiro, Xande Ribeiro and Royler Gracie. Today Riccardo is a brown belt in Brazilian Joy jitsu. With 6 years experience in Combat Sambo and 6 years experience in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu fighting and having competed in over 11 different countries, he has decided to share his vast experience of self-defense and Martial Arts, to help people defend themselves and grow by increasing awareness of ones body and mind.
