Bio
My martial arts journey began in early 2013 when I started training Kihon Okinawan karate. While I wasn't dedicated to grappling at the time, our karate system had a bit of jiu jitsu in it and to get more competition experience I entered my first grappling tournament, the MSOA Gladwin Open in Gladwin, MI in August 2014, taking second place in my division. In mid 2019 I shifted my focus to grappling and enlisted as a full-time student under Ryan Mech, a brown belt in BJJ and level 8 brown belt in Hayastan MMA under Gokor Chivichyan. I have been a full-time student ever since, and received my purple belt from Ryan in April 2023. I currently coach kids and adult classes at our satellite school in Roscommon, MI.
