Started training in 2012 at Art of Jiu Jitsu with the Mendes brothers. I was in the first class ever, the day it opened. I trained there until July 2019 when I moved to Austin Texas. I was promoted from White to Brown under the Mendes Brothers. I currently train at Atos Austin under Gui Campos. Jiu Jitsu is a big part of my life. I've made so many great friends from training partners and met people from all over the world. I competed quite a bit as a white belt, but suffered a horrific injury soon after getting my Blue. I had my right pec major and right bicep torn badly needing surgery for both. My surgeon said to stop training Jiu Jitsu ;) Well, I didn't stop training but decided to stop competing. Not a bad trade off. My son has now started training and we are very much a jiu jitsu family.
